Results for Burkie Junior Surf Series Event 1 - Sponsored by Lynch Insurance Brokers - 13th February 2010

Event one of the 2010 Burkie Junior Surf Series season sponsored by Lynch Insurance Brokers Ltd. was held at Brandens Beach (Drill Hall) on the 13th February 2010.

The surf conditions varied throughout the day with a mix of small east and a larger north west swell wrapping around by the afternoon. Despite the difficult conditions great performances were seen by new comers and the reigning champs alike.

Pre-Registration is now open for Event 1 of the Burkie Junior Surf Series - Sponsored by Lynch Insurance Brokers to be held at Brandens Beach on 13th February 2010. The below membership and contest entry forms can be completed and returned to the BJSC office by e-mail or fax at burkesinc@caribsurf.com or 428-7915. Entries close at 7:30 am on the beach, entries may be limited in particular divisions due to demand so please register early to avoid disappointment.

BJSC Committee announces Membership and Contest Fees

The Executive Committee of the Barbados Junior Surfing Club announces the rate structure for our membership fees and contest entry fees for 2010. These will be as follows:

One off annual Membership Fee for 2010 for each member (this is due prior to, or on the day of our first contest) - BDS$50.00

Contest Fee (due at each contest allowing for entry to one division) - BDS$30.00

Each Additional Division (in addition to main contest entry fee for subsequent divisions entered at the respective contest) - BDS$5.00

We look forward to seeing you at Event #1 of the Burkie Junior Surf Series - Sponsored by Lynch Insurance Brokers on the 13th February 2010 at Brandens Beach (Drill Hall), Christ Church, Barbados.

The Divisions to be run are as follows: 10 & under, 12 & under (boys), 12 & under (girls), 14 & under, Under 16 and Under 18. Divisions are determined by the competitor's age as at 1st January 2010 e.g. a junior boy that is 12 years old at that date can surf the 12 & under division. Competitors can surf up into more competitive divisions.
